India Shining, this slogan was adopted by BJP in 2004 during their election campaign and still continues to be their agenda. But its not at all a true reflection of the state of the country apart from just being a mere publicity slogan.
If one wants to really analyze if India is shining or not, he should actually visit the rural villages located in different parts of the country and meet the children there. Many of them don't even know how to hold a pencil forget about reading and writing. They are just passing on their lives being totally unaware and ignorant of whats happening in this world. And such a state also exist in some part of cities like Delhi where the rural population migrates to. Then one can imagine what would be the condition in states like Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh etc. It's really sad to see such a state of the country even after so many years of independence. But apart from just lamenting on this situation and complaining, How many us have actually been proactive enough to be a change in the lives of these poor kids? How many of us have had to courage to rise us and teach these children? I am sorry to say but very few of us.
It's high time now and we should realize that the best resource which India has got is it's people and if the entire population gets awakened to the modern world, imagine what new heights our country will touch. But the only way it can do this is by providing the right amount and quality of education to it's children who are the future of this country. It requires a national change which could only be brought about by a change in the attitude of each one of us. If each one of us decides to educate at least 1 underprivileged poor kid then just in a matter of a year we will be a 100% literate country.
PROJECT JAAGRITI has been one such step in this direction aiming to bring about a change and influence the lives of as many needy children as possible and contributing towards India's Growth story. I hope more and more people will join this campaign and come together to awaken these poor children and make them realize their dreams.
Thanks

hi ,
First of all very very heartist congrats for starting this initiative .
Secondly i understand ur feeling and a little anger from this particular post , but be patient , things are changing atleast even if at a very slow pace , its good , atleast we now have enough roads to reach the remote villages , we have laptops , mobiles to educate and train people in those areas ,
See it's not easy to leave ur home and go to those areas to provide education , so atleast we can provide ample education to the persons coming from remote areas / villages to our city and also educate them the importance of education and use them as an change agent to change their village , we can succeed .
What ever and wherever we provide education the person receiving the education should also be able to spread it .
Notice how fast a chain mail spreads ???
So if we can start a chain of knowlegde transfer , our task is done .although in the process their are many hindrances .... think abt them !
Any ways a great job done ,,, do sustain it and grow .
Congrats
Hi Jatin
Thanks for being a regular follower of this Blog !!
I do agree to your in terms of the reach of technology now days to far off places.
Only thing is one should never miss the opportunity he or she gets to contribute towards the development of the country.
There are many ways one can do that, education being one of them and even if one is taking part in spreading the word and getting this message reach as many people as possible. He has done his part.
Thanks
